New Web-Based BLE Configuration Tool for Bituo Technik‘s Smart Meters

To make device setup easier for our users, Bituo Technik has introduced a new Web-Based BLE Configurator. Instead of downloading and managing dedicated mobile apps, users can now configure the network and communication parameters for SDM and SPM series smart meters directly through a Google Chrome browser.

Key Highlights:

• Zero Installation: The tool eliminates the need for app downloads. By utilizing Web Bluetooth technology, users can simply open the webpage in Google Chrome to search for and connect to their devices instantly.

• Comprehensive Functionality: Despite being a web-based tool, it offers full feature parity with our previous configuration apps. In addition to basic Wi-Fi setup via Bluetooth, it fully supports the configuration of advanced communication parameters, including MQTT and UDP.

• Efficient PC Operation: While the tool works on mobile Chrome, using it on a PC browser offers a significant advantage. The larger screen and the ability to use a physical keyboard and mouse make entering parameters—especially when configuring multiple devices sequentially—much faster and more comfortable than tapping on a smartphone.

Compatibility & Requirements:

• Supported Models: BituoTechnik Open Wi-Fi version meters with the "EW" suffix (e.g., SPM01/02-xxEW, SDM01-EWx).

• Browser Requirement: The tool requires the Google Chrome browser to function properly (PC-based Chrome is recommended for the best experience).
